Sundays are my sacred time to myself. I write, garden, drink tea, read books.

It's wild to me that I spent my childhood Sundays willfully brainwashing myself at church. No wonder I spent my 20's and 30's unfocused and lost, looking for boundaries and identity.

Happy Sunday to those who celebrate.

I finished the second chapter draft of my fantasy book! I wrote this entire chapter in less than 2 months. The first chapter took me 6 months. (Very) slowly gaining momentum.

I've watched almost all of Critical Role, Dimension 20, and Worlds Beyond Number.

Critical Role Campaign 4 is the most excited I've been for any D&D show, ever. This is peak Brennan.

Additions to the bookshelf arrived today! I have always wanted first editions of Lord of the Rings, but I'll never spend the money.

Instead, I bought these beautiful William Morrow editions. I love the Tree of Gondor, the gold, and the use of Tolkien's own art.

In the waiting room for my first mammogram. Getting flashbacks of the terrible time in my life filled with medical procedures, 6 surgeries in 9 months (2 major, 4 minor.)

I feel this too! I recently took an embroidery 101 class with a friend, thinking I could learn more stitches or how to 'properly' embroider. Turns out I knew more than the entire class, and the instructor. Oh yeah, I guess I do have a lot of embroidery experience...

I applied to a few jobs; relatively happy at my workplace, but putting a toe in the water to test the temp out there.
Years ago, job applications were a squint and a stretch, but this time there was lots of compatible work. Proud of myself.
