I’m QuiltCon bound and passing the time with my long term EPP project. At this rate I might finish an entire flower.

The countdown has begun. Only 48hrs until my board my flight to QuiltCon. I’m beyond excited to be teaching there this year. I’m looking forward to taking a break from everything and being with my people. See you there! ✈️
When I made quilting my career I slowly lost it as my hobby. Every now & then I make something just for me to remind myself why I love quilting. For my birthday I treated myself to Ruby Star Society’s Favorite Flowers fabric. I turned it into my Apparrotly it’s a Party quilt & it brings me joy.
I’m prepping samples and pieces for my Modern Dresdens QuiltCon class. I’m hoping that pre-cutting the freezer paper templates for my students gives them a little more time for the fun parts of the project.
My design wall looks so pretty. All of my Gizmo quilt blocks have been complete for the last week. I just need to find the time to add my sashing. Maybe I can pick out some backing today so it’s ready to get quilted. I’d love to finish it before QuiltCon.
More than anything I want to unplug my internet and lock myself in my sewing room and just create for the foreseeable future. I’m sitting here looking at my planner to see when I have time to make that happen. There is no time. This is the issue when making your creative outlet your career. IYKYK.
