I read this book earlier this year and I loved it. I generally find the "modern setting in which magic is real but apparently has absolutely no effect on the world at all" thing difficult to get on board with; I was able to cope with it here, but I know what you mean about it.

Had a look and saw that they looked very Pre-Raphaelite, and I know we have a few Kelmscott Press works, so went to the stack and had a look at a few likely candidates, and promptly found the volumes and pages that had been photographed. The file names now say what they actually are.

Solved a Library Mystery (that nobody cared about) at work. Our shared network drive is an absolute nightmare with tonnes of files inherited from our predecessors which nobody knows the reason for. I encountered some image files with names along the lines of "don't know what these are from".

I have been trying to work on a job application and Katie has spent the evening mewing loudly at me and being unwilling to be fobbed off (as she considers it) with Rob. (I am giving her attention; I'm not a monster.)

When Rob and I moved here, it wasn't even that bad (going from renting a furnished place to buying a house, so we had very little furniture to move, and it was a distance of about half a mile), but it still made me think I would rather stay here for the rest of my life than move again.

My parents are (hopefully) a long way off from having to move, but have been doing a lot of decluttering with this sort of thing in mind.

Katie often comes and jumps onto our bed and hangs out with us (not on a lap, though) when we're reading/laptopping in bed shortly before bedtime. She will usually jump off and leave the room when we turn the lights off and lie down, but sometimes has to be removed.

What a lovely cat! She needs her snuggling time. (Also, have you really had her for 12 years now? How time flies.)

My dad learnt a few years ago that aphantasia was a thing (and that he has it), and now has a t-shirt that says "I have aphantasia. Imagine that (cos I can't)". Really feel like it should be "picture that" to make it make more sense.
