2 days ago, a Labour MP called Reform 'woke' because they said (some) trans women being raped in male prisons wasn't good.

Fuck off with your 'Reform will be worse than Labour for trans people'.

Labour are doing this right fucking now.

The UK is imposing a trans bathroom ban by fiat and it's being done by their equivalent of the Democrats.

Trans men will be banned from all bathrooms and facilities because they're banned from the men's for being AFAB while being banned from the women's for looking like men and "causing alarm."

This is literally the same reasoning behind Jim Crow laws.

Proponents of Jim Crow viewed people of color as less than human and therefore not entitled to equal dignity.

Proponents of policies like this view trans people the exact same way.

I think it needs to be pointed out as well that Visa is clearly losing money off these calls clogging their systems and still thought it was worth the money to re-train their employees/contractors. They're not scared enough to drop the issue altogether, people need to keep calling and snail-mailing.

SJÄLVKLART ska även forskare/akademiker kunna ha åsikter och syssla med opinionsbildning - men det gäller också att hålla isär de rollerna. Vara tydlig med att "detta är min ÅSIKT som privatperson, det är inte en del av min faktiska expertis eller forskning".

När jag undervisar forskare i hur de kan nå ut med sin kunskap och expertis till allmänhet och media tar jag ibland upp Wold och Ranstorp som varnande exempel, exempel på personer som till stor del sysslar med tyckande men gömmer sig bakom sina akademiska titlar.
