You're not the only one. I don't get that either. My guess is it's because of of the games he's made for Playstation. Since PS seems to be the most universally loved console since the first one came out, PS fans have put him on a pedestool that IMO he doesn't need to be on, but that's my opinion

No set time for me. Responsibilities first, then game time afterwards if there is time. Just bought a PS5 and beat Astros Playroom. Just started Astro Bot. Both games are great. Most of my gaming is on my Xbox. Game Pass has been great for me to discover indie games
