It's almost as if there are reasons they invented public health in the first place!
I love them! Such a good LAST litter! π»
He also never has to worry about testicular cancer on account of no testiculars!
I figured you know! It's just that some things must be yelled when one hears the summoning phrases!
*clears throat*
SHEEP LIKE GETTING THEIR HAIR CUT
I mean YES you can do it wrong and nick them on a level with a shaving accident
But having to wear their winter coats all summer is NOT AN IMPROVEMENT
And they DO NOT CARE what happens to the fluff after
I mean, she did send the girls out to ask their aunt whose hair she liked better, so IDK if pairing her with someone else who would have her would have helped.
I get why it maybe used to make sense, but now anyone who wants music can earbud up and have their own preferred music, so yeah.
THIS (but read the thread up and down)
If she didn't work outside the home, in most cases that was because the home was her workplace.
My understanding of them is "they do what they want; don't get in their way and no one gets hurt."
Not a bit vicious without provocation, but the same amount of opposed on any philosophical level to making sure your laces get tied together before every step you take.
Is adding the Donner family an option?
I wonder what would happen if we started with training a bot on telling good from bad slide sets.
βPharmacies spoken to by RNZ say they haven't seen any unusual uptake in people coming in to get a Covid-19 booster in the last few months.β
Probably because we need to fund our health system which means we can then fund our health comms, the lack of which also wrecks our health and costs lives.
My husband, when we were dating, once drove around blocks in Dallas for a couple hours looking for a place where GasBuddy said it would be 2Β’ cheaper.
(For those far enough to not know, the #1 rule of driving in Dallas is "don't," but the #2 rule is "if you break rule 1, get it over with ASAP.")
I miss thinking "boys will be boys" meant, like, mud and frogs.

Pic from a while back, of my usual #ProofOfCat pal Thunder (on our left), with his brother Lightning (on our right) who died overnight whilst sleeping on his usual box.

When I'm trying to keep recovering from a LongCOVID flare is GARBAGE TIMING to lose an hour of sleep AND one of my cats died overnight with no previous signs so I'm gonna need the return process for this day.
Considering the knowledge-sharing function of girls' and women's networks, it wouldn't shock me if in some times and places a generation or two on from boys' education getting going, girls' literacy rates caught up and passed them for a while.
I'm not sure that would actually work out to single digit percentages, considering village sizes and age cohorts. And there would likely have been a gender imbalance in the classes from a preacher, but some girls would learn second-hand from their brothers, and others from friends.
Widespread systematic schooling, sure.
On the other hand, "three or four interested kids of the village get reading lessons from the preacher and their parents supplement his income with some eggs and vegetables" popped up all over, quite early.
The hat sure, and the salute technique, but what I haven't seen anyone mention is the bright red tie and I CAN'T BE THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THE SUIT IS DARK BLUE on a wearing black/white/grey occasion.
It does seem like if they had started with putting one in, and then another etc., they could have gotten through by now.
TV ad: Our chem lab bullshit will kill clover and dollarweed and make your grass unstoppable!
Me: *looks up dollarweed, turns out it's kinda cute and you can put it in salads* Actually do you have the opposite?
Remember, folks, the actual purpose of a grass lawn is to prove you can afford to own land that's fucking useless
So, theoretically
A free-plan alt account *should* be safe as long as the user doesn't behaviorally link themself to it, right?
We would go nose blind to it shortly, I'd expect.
Bumping this for the daytime crowd, as I'd like to get a heating-oil order in tomorrow if I can. π
You know what, I would be willing to go back on the eel standard.
Based on her track record and what's to be replaced, I for one would welcome our new overlord.
Ohhhh OK
My brain was starting to generate hypotheses about moats as eel piggybanks (have the renters bring the eels alive, in like a soup pot or something, and dump in to fish out and use later?).
But all at once? Rent day = massive eel cookoff?
