This is very true!! I will say this, joining Facebook groups for veterans is a lifesaver, especiallyif you can find one at the local level. Also connecting with veteran advicate groups like dav, vfw, and wounded warrior. Connecting with people who are connected with the va helps too.

I'm not going to invalidate his experience. What I will say is a lot of veterans don't advocate for themselves. If they are having trouble they should go to the patient advocate or elevate to their congress member.

Also, it depends on the VA. In NJ they are great.
