i could absolutely just not be looking hard enough for accessible events but come on man. if i have to be looking particularly hard to find anything that's accessible to me isn't that a problem in and of itself. im probably screaming into the void about this but idk what else to do

like i've wanted to engage with the IRL furry community in my area for actual years but i can't because there is nothing that meets my fucking access needs. what message am i supposed to get from this other than that i'm just categorically excluded from these spaces

is it just me or are minnesota furry events really inaccessible. i'm a person who is autistic and also has mobility issues (not even an uncommon type of person) and literally every event i see involves either lots of walking or loud crowded places

I thought the message was too human to let it be diluted + overshadowed by typical online whataboutisms and wanted to redo + reclaim it with more touches of the furry fandom, esp being a furry myself. It's love. For some, the love of your life is in the corner of a boring furcon panel room -- even if they don't have the same "interests," it's care that bridges the gap.
