Nigel Farage‘s Reform UK funnelled £1.3m into right-wing tabloids during last year’s general election campaign.
Roughly 25% of the party’s £5.5m election spend went on buying adverts in the Daily Mail, The Sun, and the Daily Express.

Turns out the claims made by Zia Yusuf about Kent council spending were actually total bullsh*t, and the party knows it 👇🏻

Today my barber and an acquaintance (now a former acquaintance and former barber) have been openly racist.
The radicalisation of Britain is happening at a frightening speed and it’s disgusting. This isn’t the country I grew up in.

Like if we’re talking about limiting social media access for the under-16s, surely we should be considering the same for the over-70s?

I’m increasingly convinced that a large number of Britain’s problems can be explained by intergenerational inequality and the attitudes of older generations - yet we’re not talking about them because virtually all journalists and politicians are scared of addressing the elephant in the room

Two in five arrested for last summer’s UK riots had been reported for domestic abuse
Police data indicates overlaps between public violent disorder and domestic violence and abuse
There’s a sick, twisted irony in the far-right protesting against asylum seekers for their alleged involvement in crimes, when 41% (!) of those arrested at last year’s far-right riots had previously been reported to the police for domestic abuse

I see BBC Newsnight had an IEA staffer on again last night - alongside Kim Darroch and Jon Sopel.
It’s ridiculous that the BBC continues to platform the IEA’s extreme, economically ruinous agenda. It’s like the Truss fiasco never happened.
