Yes I realize Solo ALSO leans too hard into nostalgia bait but it's a fun heist movie and like Rogue One should be commended for branching out in genre and not just being a Star Wars Movie. Mandalorian started out good at this before degrading into a Star Wars Show

I missed the window for the latest star wars discourse but here's my take anyway: Solo is underappreciated and Rogue One is good but suffers from obvious rewrites and leans too hard on nostalgia bait. 3 rotating antagonists clutters up the narrative, drop CGI Tarkin and just have Vader's end scene.

Defending a drive for further illegal occupation under the name of "sovereignty" is a hoot and a half. Sovereignty for me but not for thee!
