At @expo.dev, we want to build the best framework and infrastructure for app creators.
My co-founder, @ccheever.com, has long had a guiding vision for creators to go from an idea to an app in people's hands as fast as possible. I think about this as democratizing software: expo.dev/ai/strategy
π¨ New Video this morning! Build Layouts By Instagram with @expo.dev and React-Native. This is my first time doing an app clone, I hope you enjoy it π. @expo.dev gives us so many great tools for this and React Native Skia is awesome for Photo Editing!

Bun's frontend dev server designs for incremental builds. Changing one file doesn't rebuild everything.

07.02.2025 20:00 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 01/ β¨ Expo as the Framework. Itβs no secret:
@expo.dev is the best way to develop cΜΆrΜΆoΜΆsΜΆsΜΆΜ΅-Μ΅pΜΆlΜΆaΜΆtΜΆfΜΆoΜΆrΜΆmΜΆ apps. But choosing it to exclusively build a website might seem like an odd choice. Yep, I wanted to showcase the animations on a website built with Expo. I would make the same choice again, hands down π
π Today weβre thrilled to introduce EAS Hosting β the first ever end-to-end deployment solution for universal app development.
With EAS Hosting you can deploy and scale universal API routes, React websites, and more! πβ¨

SQLite with React Native is easier than ever.
But you don't want to write raw SQL queries...
The good news is that you can easily combine @expo.dev and Drizzle π₯
Learn to:
- use type-safe queries
- work with live queries
- use the Drizzle Studio Expo Dev Tool Plugin

06.01.2025 18:28 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0π A surprise holidays gift: after over a year of hard work, we have just published Rolldown 1.0.0-beta.1!

26.12.2024 11:22 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Success! For Christmas this year, I got React Native Skia working on macOS!
Along the way I learned quite a bit about Shaders, WebGPU, and just how extensively Skia is used. It's such an interesting space! I'm glad there are still new things to learn in UI dev π
π Give yourself the gift of Expo this holiday season.
Whether your interest in React Native is just coming into bloom or you've been building RN apps for years - Expo is the perfect gift to your application.
Whether your app is green or brown...Expo will make it better.

11.12.2024 12:58 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I donβt have any hard proof, but hereβs what Iβve noticed: the more I contribute to the communityβwhether itβs through tutorials, blog posts, pull requests, or sharing helpful solutionsβthe more I seem to gain in my own career, from better job opportunities to higher salaries and beyond.
11.12.2024 11:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 07 years ago, I was at the point where I didn't enjoy the work I had. I started my open-source project shorturl.at/0RLrH, which allowed me
- switch tech stack and find a new job
- increase my salary
- get freelance work
- build Upwork profile
- join a US company which was another level of income
Itβs super cool. I used iPhone as web cam for streams/youtube videos.
08.12.2024 20:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I definitely produce more code recently, but I donβt work even one minute less ;(
08.12.2024 20:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I knew you from the twitter. I was React Native developer at the moment. Only when I pivot to the web I go and directly buy your course. It might look like direct from analytics, but actually it was other people I follow recommendations.

27.11.2024 22:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Another day - another successful collaboration with AI in creating animated components from design. Today's heroes are @v0.dev Cursor and my prior knowledge.
