Also, the potential Austin ICE sightings are tinted window state trooper looking SUVS in Crestview/Shoal Creek around construction sites. Not clear if it's actually immigration or something else.

People in my part of Austin are reporting ICE sightings using NextDoor, which is probably... not the best platform.

Fuck off. Vance has helped murder hundreds of thousands of people, and fluff like this shows you are happy to help.

When I was being driven around the Cities in lightly falling, fluffy snow, the whole scene was rendered in real-life grayscale. I had a shameful, selfish thought: This is the opposite of a color lead. My editor sent me all the way out here for this?

I thought of all the useless video I had taken, and then of the terabytes more of data on a thousand other phones. All the interactions that didn’t escalate, or even turn out to be ICE action. All those videos are evidence of the terror, tooβ€”evidence of the wearying watchfulness that an occupation wrests from people. How occupations colonize memory as much as space.

The shots of ICE agents leaving a scene, of storefronts that aren’t blasted through, of apartments whose doors remain wholeβ€”all of that is abundant but unaccessible proof of what can be accomplished without leadership, just community and will.

A lot of people out there worried that the Trump administration isn't going to give us sufficient repulsive outrages to keep us united and passionate in our resistance, and I gotta tell you, that's not a thing I'm worried about.

We celebrate our wins. The road ahead is long.

People at the Prairieland ICE Concentration Camp, located outside Dallas, Texas, are enduring freezing temperatures as the ICE refuses to activate the facilities’ heating systems. The temperature outside is a bone-chilling 13Β°F (8Β°F with wind chill), and the situation has persisted since 1/26/6

I am planning donations to Minnesota groups. But there are so many, working on so many different things, that I'm having a hard time figuring out who is most in need and where donations are most effective. Probably looking to give rent relief, but can someone on the ground there provide guidance?

The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced the Democrats have to push their hand immediately. The parallels with the delays and subsequent failures after January 6th are blaring warning signs about what will happen if they don’t go after the issues with ICE and CBP at the root RIGHT NOW.

They aren’t backing down. They’re just threatening people in other cities. Still illegal. Still unconstitutional. Even if they haven’t yet backed it up by shooting someone in the face.
