It’s a good point we’re working hard to make each layer self or community hostable. The appview layer is the trickiest to get right.

I've worked to re-implement some experimental work by Divy into rsky-ingester, rsky-backfiller, and rsky-indexer

This pretty much sums up why I’m excited to be working at Bluesky. I’m under no illusion that we’ve solved the fundamental problems of social media, I do think we’ve got a unique opportunity to connect people in better ways.

Kind of cool that on a day that the site is celebrating democracy, the AT protocol community is at IETF helping to form shared governance for the specs!
