I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. (I got mixed up yesterday). The focus is on those who have been killed. There are far too many where their identity as a trans person was a major part of why someone decided that they deserved to be killed.

Most people may lack wealth and power, but they hold on to decency. The top 1%? They hoard 99% of the wealth, none of the morality, and use their ‘creativity’ to unsettle you—and to warp your sense of what’s acceptable.
