This is the nastiest shit you probably never heard of.
Using it on humans is a war crime
Love seeing the editing typo too late.
I had a kafkaesque hour trying to solve a problem using HP customer service today that at one point, no lie, required five puzzles to be solved to log in, like it was the damned sphinx. And it still didn’t solve anything.
One thing I do miss about old twitter is there was a period where companies obviously thought it important to monitor and it closely to deal quickly with complaints. It was faster than getting lost in a phone tree, or now the dreaded AI chat that never solves anything.
Watch the whole thing. The last line is amazing.
you have more in common with a homeless person than *any* member of the gentry. remember that and don't forget it -- class issues and disparities affect movements far, far more than we talk about, particularly within marginalized groups.
One might even call it “predatory.” Well, I would: www.foreignaffairs.com/united-state...
and the fact that there's not a real narrative about his weakness yet, despite everything, is...frustrating.
how much does that matter?
hard to say, but...the more trump is seen as weak, the more there's a willingness to push back. so burying evidence that he's weak isn't great.
a NH legislative seat isn't in itself a big deal...but the fact that Ds keep flipping R seats kind of is.but they haven't really created narratives about it, so it doesn't register.
googling, there's not a whole lot of big outlets covering the NH legislative flip. It doesn't seem to be in the NYT. googling doesn't come up with much.
Just a steady drip of terrible news for republicans in elections...most of which you wouldn't really know if you're getting your news solely from mainstream media. 1
A writer has contacted me looking for a geologist's insight into various Bay area rock climbing sites. Not my expertise area but maybe yours? DM me.
Wow 😳 who would have guessed!
“20 White House cabinet members have directed at least $30 million to benefit Trump”

Cowards.
The thing that I don't think they've fully grasped is because we've had two nearly three generations of adults who have been vaccinated, people are going to realize pretty quickly shit is bad when suddenly their kids are dying.
Can someone help Pinocchiogles understand how immigration works pls
Pete Hegseth wants to engineer endless war on purpose so he can reinstate the draft and retvrn to the trad 50/60s style masculinity that, in his mind, was responsible for everything good America ever did. this is not the Third Gulf War, it is the First Gender War
The U.S. fell to its worst-ever ranking in Transparency International’s #Corruption Perceptions Index, dropping to 29th out of 182 countries with a score of 64. Experts warn a decade-long decline in perceived public-sector corruption control could continue.

Despite legal orders to release the files unredacted, an NPR investigation reveals that the Department of Justice has withheld or removed a number of pages related to allegations involving the President. Stephen Fowler is the reporter who broke the story.
Mother of God we are lost.
It's looking increasingly like these guys thought that if they could wreak more death and destruction than the other side then they would be respected as strong powerful men and they would "win" and that would make them big important heroes. Very possibly they had no rationale deeper than that.
Has anyone pointed out to ICE agents that if they're arresting people solely to collect a bonus, they're not law enforcement officers. They're bounty hunters.
I look forward to all of them losing their jobs and being blacklisted from serving in law enforcement.
Fuller is probably safe, but the people who were wanting to vote for 3rd place Colton Moore (who has QUITE a history in GA politics, including massive feuds with other republicans) probably have idiosyncratic enough reasons i'm also not completely confident in what they will do now lol
daaaang
This was one of the legislative elections on my guide of elections to watch in March—one week after the Arkansas special that Dems also flipped.
Next up? Democrats have opportunities for upsets/flips in Louisiana on Saturday, & Florida in a couple of weeks.

JUST IN: Democrats flip a seat in the New Hampshire state House.
Dem Bobbi Boudman has won today’s special election, NHJournal reports.
(Boudman was the Dem nominee in 2024 & lost by 14%; Trump won here by 9%.)
This is Dems’ third legislative flip so far this year, after Texas and Arkansas.
