The locals and others protested against the development of Sydneys’ last undeveloped headland. That would be the view from a rich persons luxury house. Thankfully it is now open to the public in much of it’s original state...

This carp is swimming downstream in a storm water drain (used to be a creek in the old days) in Rosehill, a suburb of Sydney.

They make such a mess, clouding the water when bottom feeding, disrupting habits of native fish. They are like goldfish, very difficult to kill.

An introduced European Carp has infested all of Australia’s waterways. Compete vigorously with our native fish and always wins….they are a similar vermin problem as cane toads, rabbits etc. #carp #goldfish #vermin #fish #water #sydney #australia
