My balance is not better than my AT65; but the former suits my typical bird/wildlife watching requirements. So the AT65 will be moth-balled for a while 😁
And we're off!
Oh yes to the latter comment!!
Downsides
1) No lens hood
2) Loose eyepiece cover attached by thin cord
3) Shoulder strap also attached to scope via same sort of cord.
4) Having to remove battery for charging; presumably weather proofing issue.
I find I dislike my old Swaro 65 because it starts at 25x; the 18x on the ATB and the 17x on my travel Vortex are much better.
For my style of birding it's the business. Best bit of kit I've ever bought🙂
I've only had Hairy foot and A flavipes til today and they were yesterday 😁
@careylodge.bsky.social lots of activity today at PB🙂
The best day of the year produced some firsts - Anthophora plumipes, Eristalis tenax, Andrena flavipes. And this bargain, maybe dated but mint -£3.50
I hate toting a tripod; this is a godsend!
#BirdingGear👍👍
Not surprised on a sunny day to see plenty of wasps on the wing but Common Darter was a bit unexpected.
Thanks but that seems well out of range
#ausreptiles can this be ID'd. NSW in October 2000

Probably the first of many!
Is it mounted to the scope or just hand held?
