But someone who’s so AI-brained that they only read each sentence in isolation might think that that sentence should read “As well, as men what they think of stone.” Which reads more smoothly but makes no sense in context.
This seems to be a truly AI-brained reading comprehension fail, because there’s no punctuation missing from that sentence. There are *words* missing (“[You might] as well ask men what they think of stone”) but that’s because it’s spoken dialogue and people speak often speak in shorthand.
Mary in the Black-and-White Room thought experiment except this time it’s an AI that has never smelled a woman’s fart.
Might have been this one. The creator of the quiz went into detail about how much he had to cherry-pick on both sides in order to make it “fair” for the AI. www.astralcodexten.com/p/how-did-yo...
“Human art often includes errors of physics. Here, Salvador Dalí has accidentally painted these pocket watches in a semi-fluid state, when in fact pocket watches are necessarily made out of solid materials. Current GenAI image models have evolved beyond such trifling mistakes.”

Are they also planning to make burglary legal if you can prove you intend to sell the stuff that you stole?
tbf PR has gotten a lot easier since news outlets fired all their fact-checkers
Amazon isn't actually involved at all, though the press release certainly strives to make it sound that way. The "news" is that they've hired a guy who used to oversee social media accounts for Amazon's UK/EU TV shows.
"Why are you describing this guy as an 'Amazon Exec' when his job was running TikTok accounts?"
Some follow-up questions you could have asked instead of blindly reprinting the press release:
“What happened to all those talent agencies that were clamoring to sign Tilly Norwood as a client? Didn’t you say in September that you were going to be announcing a contract soon? What happened to that?”
Huh, I wonder what happened to all those big Hollywood talent agencies that were totally clamoring to sign Tilly Norwood?
One of the biggest problems with modern media is the way they uncritically repeat the bullshit these liars say to them in their sales pitches. Stop being PR agents for assholes.
Beautiful rendering on the vampire girlfriend!
Big fan of the bear paws that change into human hands for certain shots, because Gemini's training dataset doesn't have enough footage of paws doing complicated stuff.
