Ich beneide dich nicht. Auch wenn die Stadt Aachen es gut mit Radfahrern meint, traue ich mich dort immer noch nicht aufs Rad. Aber ich habe lange in Utrecht (NL) gelebt und bin dort vielleicht auch verwöhnt worden...

Stimmt, Sven, eine gute Alternative gab es hier nicht. Vielleicht wurden die Vorschriften formal eingehalten. Ich habe aber das Gefühl, dass das vor allem dem Autoverkehr zugute kam. Wie du sagst: denk auch an die Schwächeren hier. Ich komme zu Fuß hier wohl durch. Aber wehe du sitzt im Rollstuhl...

Ob es ein Umleitungsschild gab, kann ich nicht sagen. Aber die Straße fällt hier deutlich ab. Schilder usw. befanden sich wegen Bauarbeiten nur kurz von einer stark befahrenen Kreuzung entfernt. Die Situation war ziemlich unübersichtlich, und das ist – denke ich – nicht gerade sicherheitsfördernd.
