My friends brought me along to my first Renn Faire. I have only ever done medieval reenactment stuff so this was a mild switch from what I am used to. I had a blast.

Today I’m feeling a bit disheartened. I tried a new to me hobby adjacent to my medieval reenactment stuff, and while some of the new folks i met were charming, there were too many who spouted blatantly homophobic stuff. I’m so tired of casual homophobia. It’s a paving stone to dehumanizing people.
