She went peacefully. I'm glad she won't suffer anymore. I'm gonna miss my dog forever.
It's like the weather knew what my dog's favorite thing was - snow. So we took her to the beach in the snow, and she sniffed until she got tired.
Now for the hardest part. I feel like she's telling us she's ready, and that helps - even though I'm not ready at all.
Dogs are the best. The absolute best.
Sazi has had a steady stream of visitors all day. Telling stories. Telling her she's a good girl. She's enjoying all the pets but in true Sazi fashion, she hates being the center of attention.
It's going to be a hard weekend.

Well on top of everything else - my knee injury, the one year anniversary of my MIL's death, and having to care for my FIL - we learned this morning that our old dog Sazi is in late stage kidney disease and we have to put her down soon.
To say I'm heartbroken is an understatement.

With a win tomorrow, Canada not only will advance to their first WBC quarterfinals -- they'd also secure the top spot in Pool A and would face the runner-up of Pool B on Saturday.
With a loss, Canada's journey would end.
