Hey I have a new article out at BJIR on the determinants of social dialogue in European countries, where we look at what factors influence the propensity of governments to involve trade unions and employers in policymaking. Paper and data available here: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/...

I had the privilege to work with @alexandreafonso.bsky.social and Pedro Goulart on this fascinating project.

We provide a new dataset on Social Dialogue across 25 European countries, enabling us to provide new evidence on the structural and political determinants of social concentration.

This platform has grown explosively since the election, but growth has slowed down the past few days. Should we be concerned?

No. A temporary plateau was inevitable given the heterogeneity of social media users. From my point of view Bluesky is already over the hump 1/

Just when German gov ends because "there is no money", study finds gov has subsidized private pension vehicle known for its outrageous fees with a whopping €40.7bn since 2002 – €2.7bn this year alone!

Look in the mirror with your absurd "6 out of 136" claim. If Metall says it's more than 50% of engineerings who are members on national media.

That's a clear claim that is verifiable. Tesla's 90% is a claim with no reference to who they mean or when and could be made up.

I correct myself 90% is what they dubiously claim. www.teslarati.com/tesla-owners...

IF Metall has organised over half of the mechanics. If they had zero members somewhere, which they would according to your figures, Tesla would've legally congested their call to strike allready for sure.

Tesla stated 91% of the workforce aren't on strike. Mechanics were literally less than half of the workforce in the figures from last year.

And again it seems more like a blatant lie. Otherwise they'd officially claim this way more.

Tesla is using strikebreakers which is literally the reason for the quick widening of the conflict as this has been a big no, no in Sweden since what happend in Ådalen in 1931.

You don't have to be a member of a union to strike and you don't have to strike if you are.

Even according to Tesla's semiofficial statement (which isn't very trustworthy) at least 20-30% of mechanics are on strike. So the numbers are obviously made up nonsense.

Oh and IF Metall in contrast to Tesla actually knows who their members are.

That's just absurd and obviously made up. Tesla literally does not and cannot know who of its employees are union members and who aren't.

And there are more quotes of people and location under strike than 6.

Again If metall organizes over 50% of mechanics at Tesla.

In fact IF Metall was asked about it yesterday on Swedish radio and clearly said that a majority of technicians are IF Metall members. The strike turnout varies between locations at some almost all members are on strike at others it's less.

A new study in Helsinki daycares, Finland: air purifiers led to a 30% reduction in children's illnesses.

Healthier children = healthier staff and parents = big savings.

Bonus: the sound of the air purifier made it easier to get the kids to nap.

The Swedish data is normally very up to date. sekotidningen.se/post/sekos-b...

I don't have a dog in the fight. Unlike you teslarati.

If Tesla left Sweden and maintenance was done by third parties paying better, I assume people wouldn't care much.

Can you read dates?

Check the date of that article and the figures by the Swedish transport authority xD

0 0 1 0

Per Teslas own statement it is not. Because the workforce is much larger so even based on old numbers that would be 20-30% probably more.

It also frankly does not matter in Swedish law.

That is not what I would call unhindered.

And IF Metall has said they are in for a very long conflict. In Sweden that means years.

It's just a sign of desperation when you don't have any credible figures to relentlessly find someone else who has written the exact bullshit without any source.

That's not a source that is just another person sharing a baseless myth.

Yeah it doesn't. And if it did the agreeement would have 0 impact as it spells out minimum conditions. It would be insane to not sign it.

90% of Swedish workers are covered by collective agreements.

There's a massive legal difference here between a transport agreement and the manufacturing of government plates. I expect it will be virtually impossible to get them.

Interim decisions will be appealed as well, I assume.
