ACS support for science - American Chemical Society
The ACS is committed to working to advance scientific knowledge, empower a global community and champion scientific integrity.
As an industry member, it is extraordinarily frustrating to me that:
1. ACS puts out such a milquetoast statement while its academic members are suffering seemingly existential-level catastrophe immediately under the second Trump Adminstration: www.acs.org/pressroom/ne...

The challenge of being neurodivergent in STEM
Neurodivergent scientists say STEM isn’t built for them, despite the contributions they bring
STEM's lack of support for #neurodivergent scientsts is causing it to lose out on so much amazing talent: cen.acs.org/careers/dive...

Younger Chemists Committee celebrates 50 years
The committee helps younger chemists navigate an ever-evolving workforce and advocates for their interests within the American Chemical Society
This year was the ACS YCC's 50th anniversary. So in true 50th anniversary fashion, I decided to take a look at what has changed (and stayed the same) in the last 50 years for young chemists and engineers. @cenmag.bsky.social

Alright, I'm going to get into good trouble for this! For each like and repost I get on this I'll donate $1 dollar to the @gamehistoryorg.bsky.social. I'll keep counting until Monday. @frankcifaldi.bsky.social & @philsalv.bsky.social wish me luck! Hopefully the org gets some decent money from this.

When creating PDFs, avoid using "Print to PDF." A screen reader user may still be able to access the text of PDFs created this way, but heading structure, alternative text, and any other tag structure will be lost. Using "Save As" or "Export" can preserve these tags.
