Every holiday at grandma's, I was the one known to make a beeline to hang with the youngest cousins. It was only in my late 30's that I discovered I'm allowed to hang out with the same-age cousins. I still make beelines for babies, and I embrace the mom excuse that I "must go check on my boys" 💕

What would be cool to see are the nuanced discussions around this issue. Without the trolls huffing and wailing, I can see y'all leading the discussion about how to address misogyny with empathy and kindness. We cannot dismantle hate with hate or shame.

The only good thing about going into perimenopause early is my PMDD has subsided. I don't love that my cycle tracker isn't as helpful as it used to be to try and mentally prepare for the worst days

My workaround is "I know this is exciting to share and I wanna listen but could you please tell me the ending and then fill in the details?!"

The banana-and-a-bagel breakfast has become our go-to. I used to feel bad about it but actually my kids prefer a handheld option so they can squeeze in every second of play before school!

My eyes are so worn out this evening. They were screaming at me to run away or find cover during a 3hr zoom meeting where I'm required to sit in a room with florescents and ALL the damn chairs face a wall of windows.
