Maybe they think Lutnickโ€™s vision of millions of American workers putting millions of little screws into American made phones is an epiphany. Thereโ€™s no doubt the clown in charge envisions a way to personally profit from his war.

The 9000 Who Never Made It Home was a haunting, large-scale art installation created on the beaches of Normandy in 2013 to mark International Peace Day and honor those who died during the D-Day landings.

DEVELOPING: No warning. No reason. NYPD officers rushed into the crowd and tackled a protester this weekend.

His body was limp. He couldnโ€™t move. He said, โ€œI canโ€™t feel my legs.โ€

He might never walk again. For showing up.

This is brutality. This is America.

GOPers Fear Proof of Citizenship Laws May Hurt Their Own Voters Read more here.

One apparent reason why GOP legislators are getting cold feet about proof of citizenship laws for voter registration: Theyโ€™re worried about disenfranchising their own voters, advocates say. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Booker: "We have a president who did nothing as people stormed our Capitol, & then when those people who viciously beat police & led to some of their deaths - therefore cop killers - were convicted, he pardoned them. So for him to be talking about responsive law enforcement is hypocritical at best"

As someone raised to believe faith should make you a more compassionate human being, the saddest thing about the government-sanctioned hatred, legislated terrorism, and human rights erasures we're seeing right now is that none of them would be possible without white Christians.

I read the bridge infrastructure may be too weak to hold the weight of these tanks. And there is massive amount of them heading for DC.

This is a coup. A constitutional crisis. They are deporting U.S. citizens and ignoring Supreme Court rulings. Arresting judges. Attacking our rights. Slashing Medicaid. Gutting critical health and essential services. Reject Project 2025. We will not be silenced. NO KINGS. MASS PROTEST. June 14th!

If you are an active member of the national guard or the US military and are ordered to violate the constitutional rights of anyone on US soil, call the GI Rights Hotline. You swore an oath to support and defend the US constitution and do not have to follow unlawful orders.

Walmart has announced it is raising its prices due to the tariffs at the end of May. I havenโ€™t been in a Walmart in years. My guess is their grocery prices are going up, too. Another FAFO moment for Trump supporters. Walmart seems to be their favorite store.

The lesson of history is that tyrants cannot be appeased. Appeasement only feeds their insatiable hunger for power. Without mass submission, a tyrant is powerless. Some thoughts... https://robertreich.substack.com/p/sunday-thought-69d

In 2024, four women held four-star ranks in the military โ€” the highest levels of the armed forces. Only 10 women have held the highest rank in their military branches in history. Now, there are none.

Of the four women, two of them retired and two were ousted. bit.ly/4i1EWUO

Harvard Law: Condemn
Attacks on Lawyers

As alumni of Harvard Law School, we are deeply disturbed by the Executive Orders attacking law firms and their lawyers for representing certain clients or for cases they have worked on. We greatly applaud the many deans of law schools who have spoken out individually "to reaffirm basic principles: The government should not punish lawyers and law firms for the clients they represent, absent specific findings that such representation was illegal or unethical. Punishing lawyers for their representation and advocacy violates the First Amendment and undermines the Sixth Amendment." These are non-partisan principles fundamental to the American Constitution, and we learned at Harvard Law School to uphold them.

We believe Harvard Law School as an institution must raise its voice in support of these principles and in denouncing the Executive Orders. We agree proudly with Harvard's claim: "No law school has done more to shape law or legal education." Now is the time to once again show that leadership, before it is too late.

More than 400 Harvard Law School alumni have signed a letter calling on the school to condemn Trumpโ€™s attacks on lawyers and law firms.
