Not everyone lives in areas with reliable and consistent public transportation or can safely walk or bike to work.
These are things I’ve had to think about myself recently. Should I take on an overtime shift on the weekend? Oh, but then that’s how much in gas? But we need the money. But the gas. But how are we going to pay the XYZ bill? But then I pay ABC just to go to work. Is it all worth it?
It’s awful and predatory. Especially for those people who live paycheck to paycheck and have to wait to put gas in their vehicles. I can’t tell you how often I have driven my car down to the last gallon in the tank praying I’ll make it to the gas station in time to roll in on fumes. 😬
There are a few remnants of the manual signs, and both are present at some corner stations like this one. But as many pointed out, most have converted to the electronic ones. Just depends on where upgrades are in their budgets for the smaller chains or what happens when stations are bought & sold.
Oh, depends on where you are, I suppose. Our community bundles electricity/water/sewer and our prices keep going up because our village board got us into the equivalent of mafia rates with a bad deal that locked the area into a contract all because they wanted to snub the city. 🤦🏻♀️

Seeing as I hadn’t traveled to my main worksite since Friday, I don’t know what the weekend price was. I know last week the price started at $3.30 Tuesday and most of the week, then this morning it was higher (8am hour) and this evening (7pm hour) it was different.
Depends on the gas station. Not all have the digital signs, and this one I mentioned has the manual type

Gas prices are going to be volatile. This morning heading to work, gas at one of the cheap stations was $4. Now it’s back to $3.60
We’re going to be playing the “what time should I run to the gas station” game. I feel bad for the people who need to keep going out there to change the sign numbers.

Same! We have so many different people who work for our agency, and with turnover it’s not uncommon to not recognize names, so you’re sending me a link to go somewhere or respond ASAP and I don’t have a clue who you are even though the sent-from email has our domain? “Report as phishing” it is 🤣
I even use the Bobby Hill voice when I report things, how did you know? 🤣🤣
I usually report everything sent to me as spam that I wasn’t expecting. Sometimes they are actual tests to see if we recognize spam, but I’ve also been known to report “real” things like when I’m told to click here to go to update my employee goals for the year. 🤣
