Farage is friends with rapists, pedophiles, sex-trafficking criminals & has women beaters & outspoken misogynists in ReformUK.
He has a big problem with women, & any women who votes for ReformUK is either a collaborator against her sex or an idiot who votes against her own interests.

Plenty have clocked how Nigel Farage talks to women journalists — pure condescension: “listen, love,” “go write your silly little story.” Know your place.
No shock from a man who praises Andrew Tate.
The real surprise? It’s only being called out now.

Long COVID hasn't disappeared.

No.

And do you know why?

Because COVID-19 hasn’t disappeared either.

It’s chewing us slowly like gum until we run out of flavour.

And yet I see meeting after meeting with no masks being worn, except the entirely transparent mask of “normality”.

One in five children infected in the recent London measles outbreak were reportedly hospitalised.
Don’t believe the anti-vaxxers when they say “it’s a mild disease” or “it’s better to get immunity naturally”.
It isn’t.

This is an awful, damaging, dangerous idea. It gets SO much wrong.

you could probably capture our president by writing "nobel peace prize" on a pie plate and putting it under one of those boxes held up with a stick tied to a string

In celebration of David Walliams being exposed for the dose that he is, please share some books for younger readers which are deserving of more attention.

I'm old enough to remember when Gordon Brown was forced to apologise to a woman for calling her a bigot.

The very least we should expect is that Nigel Farage apologises for being one.

Michael Gove Made Orwell Prize Judge Despite Record of Attacking Journalists and Dodging Scrutiny Critics say "Orwell would have enjoyed the irony" of the former Conservative minister's appointment

I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.

Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise

Pretend you're a doctor by referring to each toe by its proper name, i.e. Market, Home, Roast Beef, No Roast Beef and Wee Wee.

I did this in both of my classes this semester. It was super successful. The students had to ask an LLM about a subject they already knew well, like their favorite musician, movie, sports team, or something else they had previously researched.

Starmer demands investigation into Reform-Russia links after party's ex-Wales leader jailed The former leader of Reform in Wales, Nathan Gill, has been jailed for 10-and-a-half years after being paid £40,000 to make pro-Russian statements in the European Parliament.

This is outrageous from Keir Starmer.

‘Russian links to Reform need investigating’, he says. So why is his government still fighting case now in Grand Chamber of Strasbourg court refusing to have such an investigation into Russian interference ??

I've found this to be true when it comes to explaining why I still mask in public. Once nearly everybody had already had COVID once vaccines were out, "I don't want to die" garnered skepticism but "My favorite foods tasted wrong for six months last time" had folks going "oh, huh, that makes sense!"

BREAKING: The UK’s response to Covid was “too little, too late”, a damning official report on the handling of the pandemic has concluded, saying the introduction of a lockdown even a week earlier than happened could have saved more than 20,000 lives.

Absolutely bloody adoring @kathyburke.bsky.social’s audiobook. Cheering on every win - and hooting at every aside. It’s made me cry loads, too. Treat yourselves! X

Question Time observation.
The audience doesn't seem stacked. It sounds like the lovely British people I know have always known and are coming out to speak. Bruce keeps trying to move on but the next audience member makes similar statements to the last. No where to run to. No where to hide

Badenoch wants to eliminate ‘rip off degrees’ like English. The usual philistine crap that a degree is just about work. The mission to create the stupidest nation on earth. And counterproductive. Young people will work for years. They’ll retrain endlessly. A degree can help them learn how to learn

Badenoch and Co see education only as a means to a massive income in some soul destroying career.

Devoid of imagination and the power of knowledge they view life entirely through the prism of the CV.

My advice always is to study what interests you and the rest will follow
