I was raped for 12-13 years by my father. I’m in a support group for people of similar histories. What I find remarkable about this Epstein business in the press is that no one is bringing the issue home. It’s estimated that 25% of children, (both genders) in the world have suffered this abuse.

This Epstein thing is interesting for me as a survivor of childhood rape by my father, because it seems that people are not concerned about the issue of childhood rape, but the high profile gore and spectacle. This has happened to roughly 25% of the population, and only now folks are upset about it?

I have several pieces I’m working on for this project of expressing the incest survivor experience through home furnishings. Getting the diagnosis of multiple myeloma, and the disease fracturing 5 of my vertebra shakes things up. Bargaining doesn’t work. It doesn’t matter if I’m a good person.
Chandelier for the bathroom! This started as a piece rescued from a demo in Dorchester, MA. I maybe put too many lights on it, but it looks so cool with the lights top and bottom! Low wattage LEDs as usual. Another cancer time product!
Bathroom sconce. I could only work on this for about an hour or two at a time as the cancer had broken 5 of my vertebrae, then I’d have to lay down to stop hurting. I grew up thinking I was lazy, but stuff like this has helped me realize that I have other issues. LOL!
This year has been tougher than the basic story will suggest. October last year I started having back pain. I was dismissed as muscular skeletal, but my wife persisted in getting real Drs to examine me. I have multiple myeloma, and L1 through L5 fractured. Happily, I am now in technical remission.
