Complaints aside, 7.1 already had a bunch of depressing moments. #DQX, never change.
Was planning to go through all the 7.x #DQX patches over the break. That said, not only each of them is very long, some patches require you to do some random side quests from the previous expansion. A few hours after finishing 7.1 and I'm still half done with the prep for 7.2.

I did that a few days ago and I think I'm enjoying it more than during my first attempt on release.
Wasn’t that just because of the different amount of side stuff you were both doing? I played on Normal and had to redo a fight here and there, but I don’t think lowering it would make my playthrough much shorter - most of my play time was spent looking for hidden stuff and backtracking.
No one person has done more to bolster the community that surrounds Giant Bomb over the last 17 years than ZombiePie. He has tirelessly put together weekly roundups of forum posts, blogs, reviews, wiki work, and art.

Finished #Khazan with the true ending and I really, really enjoyed it. Might be my favorite soulslike (non-From) game. Yes, some ideas are better executed in Nioh etc., but the general gamefeel was awesome. Also beating the last from of the last boss on my first try felt amazing.
Still the best Xenoblade game.

Definitely won't argue with your criticism, but I have to say that after playing it for a while something clicked and I started having a ton of fun. At this point I'm glad I stuck around with it, but it does feel like some potential has been wasted.

Devoured #EnderMagnolia over the weekend, great moody metroidvania. It does most things better than Ender Lilies, definitely feels less frustrating. They did over-correct a bit with Normal feeling a tad too easy, but you can fine tune the difficulty if you want. Took me 17h40min to do everything.
40 minutes into Elder Magnolia and I’m really digging it.
Ended up preordering the Digital Deluxe version of the new Dynasty Warriors game because of how cool the demo was.
Was looking at my old Freedom Wars tweets and damn, my character did look slick.
Popular gaming podcasts like Nextlander aside, I really enjoy The Dollop with Dave Anthony and Gareth Reynolds (both comedians). It’s mostly about the US history. Hilarious.
It would be so cool if actual episodes got officially released on streaming here, but I assume that’s never going to happen.
