going to the massage therapist for the first time today!!! i am lowkey kind of nervous but my doctor is advising the migraine pain + sinuses thing might be related to the pain out of my neck. i’ll take whatever helps at this point im so tired of losing like 4-9 days a month of my life

If you wanted to bridge out from there, finding a mid-2010s ish DSLR like a Canon Rebel or similar with the original ‘kit’ lens would be perfectly fine. A lot of the fancier photo gear only starts to matter once you need to work with limited light, but you have the luxury of controlling yours!

two cheap ‘softboxes’ you’ll find often see used on FB marketplace or whatever— they don’t have to be nice ones, just matching light bulb temperatures. If you have those, you can get by getting great results with a modern phone, even.

ways to approach it, but something like building a small cubic ‘studio’ out of foam board is very popular for beginning product photography— this allows you to better control the direction and amount of light on your subject. If you have the space to do so, I’d see about trying to pick up
