Labour has rejected my proposal for secure bike lockers at train stations, a simple step to make cycling safer.
I have resubmitted the proposal for the next stage.
In the meantime, I need your support.

It takes an obscene amount of hubris to lecture the BBC when you have The Telegraph’s record on truth-telling.
Some of the paper’s errors this year are so bad they’re almost laughable 👇🏻
@bremaininspain.com Britain needs voter reform. Britain does not need governments winning 63.2% of the seats on 33.7% of the vote. Britain needs a representative voting system. Please sign and share this petition #ElectoralReform #MakeVotesMatter

A great week running a Bikeability course for Yr 5s in Gainsborough in Bike Week. So rewarding to see children who could barely ride on Monday become super confident riding on the road by the end of the week.
1.33 million journeys daily and growing 📈
I’ve never seen these “two stage turns”, but the descriptions in this article look like they’re a slow, complicated nightmare. Just wondering whether the people who design these things ever actually ride them to test them out??
Incredible that a supposed world leader uses language like this.
To be fair, it also applies to cyclists passing pedestrians but would be a useful exercise for some of the car drivers who have close passed me recently

Live in Lincolnshire? The BBC mayoral debate is really worth a watch….. including an acknowledgement of the importance of Active Travel from Labour’s Jason Stockwood. 🚲 www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/epis...
Couldn’t agree with you more. There seems to be no enforcement at all. As a Bikeability instructor, it’s so frustrating to watch idiots flouting every rule in the Highway Code, knowing they will never get any comeback.
Lincolnshire friends - don’t let the vile, divisive politics of hate infect our lovely county. You know what to do……,
I need to ride on this. Just shows what can be done when the will is there.
Love #Deathinparadise but so disappointed by the new series. The whole point of it is that it’s supposed to be funny. Nothing made me smile at all. Where has all the humour gone? Much prefer the Australian version now. ☹️
Love this…
Absolutely love this, especially the inclusion of Bikeability level 2 routes so parents can identify where children at that level can ride safely.
This was such a poor BBC Panorama. Completely mixed up electric bikes with illegal electric motorbikes. Good to see the industry standing up for itself. road.cc/content/news...
“A 5-year study of 263K U.K. commuters, published in the British Medical Journal in 2017, found regular cycling cut the risk of death from any cause by 41%, and the incidence of cancer and heart disease by 45% and 46% respectively. Other large-scale studies have found similar.” Via @CarltonReid.com
NEW: I interviewed Chris Boardman about his many careers, including his current role at Active Travel England. He told me that fact-free anti-cycling media stories are harming the UK's health, as they put off politicians from making brave but necessary decisions.

Good explainer of the recent junction changes in Cambridge that prioritise walking and cycling.

The other swans aren't gonna believe this
Normanby Hall looking very festive. It’s rehearsal time for tonight’s St Cecilia Singers concert, and it sounds amazing.
End of term at a Bikeability instructor’s house…
Love this. Cycling in Lincolnshire 120 years ago….
Only when we get decent cycle infrastructure will more people feel confident that it’s safe to cycle. This looks fantastic.
Agree. Closely followed by Adnam’s Ghost Ship 0.5% imho.
It’s not often I hear something that makes me stop in disbelief, but wow, that carpet/social housing story! Absolute craziness - great story though.
Fantastic that the new Transport Secretary is a cyclist. Looking forward to good times ahead.
