At the moment, I'm regrettably not exploring a quaint bookstore on a cobblestone street in Vienna during a raging thunderstorm, so no, I'm afraid your email did not "find me well.”

Still reeling from last night’s stunner of a Super Moon…
As one of my loves said, “It’s like you can reach out your hand and grab it.”
Did you catch it?
In @nytopinion.nytimes.com
“Over the years, I thought I’d perfectly isolated what I needed from a novel,” Jeff Giles writes in a guest essay. “But suddenly, I couldn’t finish even half a book. Any book. Nothing held me. Everything annoyed me. Cilantro now tasted like soap.”
Big news: a small sketch alleged to be Michelangelo’s looks like it’s the real deal 😮
These sketches are rare because Michelangelo destroyed so many. He didn’t want us to see his imperfections 💔
What’s the value of a rough sketch? A first draft?

What Thanksgiving Day represents in our home is a reminder that during the worst of times, be they shared or personal hardships, focusing on gratitude will carry us through to another day. That and we love an excuse to eat a meal comprised primarily of butter and cream.
Wishing a very Happy Thanksgiving today to all who celebrate! ❤️
Remembrance Sunday,
With memories of the splendid Weeping Window at Hereford Cathedral in 2018.

I love this!
Because a beautiful sunset over a soccer field is still a beautiful sunset ❤️
I can romanticize any vacation view - but what about my regular life?
I gave a whirl 😉

Happy Friday, all! It’s a beautiful day to buy books 😊📚
What have I missed? What other ways can we support authors?
Make books. Make journals. Make chapbooks and zines and pretty letters. Make papercraft. Make beautiful things with words. Let no one take that from you. Make words.
Spotted this reader, absolutely absorbed in their book, in Rotterdam, Netherlands 💙 #booksky

A friend asked me recently how I read so many books. I understand her frustration, as finding extra time to read can feel impossible.
But if I can make that time, you can too.

Happy National Avocado Day!
Are you a fan of avocados? If not, who hurt you? 👀
I kid, I kid. But in honor of one of my favorite fruits (yes, it’s a fruit!), I give you a solid roundup of the best Mom/Dad jokes…🥑
Today, may we all have the opportunity to respond, “Yes, I know the guac is extra.”
“The Cleveland Museum of Natural History added a fun hidden detail in their display of real Beetles by inserting a Volkswagen Beetle in their display cleverly disguised as just another specimens. It has been part of the display since 2002.”
There is someone out there who wants your weird little book. Even if you doubt yourself sometimes, don't doubt their earnest enthusiasm.
