🚂 Announcing the 2026 #NSSafetyTrain schedule! 🚔 🚒

Kicking off in March with a stop in Goldsboro, NC, the NS Safety Train is making 16 stops across our 22-state network this year, providing multiple days of free, hands-on training for first responders at each location: bit.ly/45Z4oqL

KPPC owns a site within Central Arizona Commerce Park (CAZCP) and will be a future rail customer of Sonoran Valley Rail. The new Arizona operation will manufacture ultra-high-purity chemicals for the semiconductor industry and is one of several major supplier investments shaping Casa Grande’s emergence as the “Silicon Desert.” OmniTRAX looks forward to continuing its work with state, regional, and local economic development partners on transformative projects like this that drive long-term growth and innovation.

Last month, Ashley Wolfe and Elena Saenz attended the official groundbreaking of KPPC’s (member of the Kanto Group) U.S. Arizona Plant in Casa Grande, representing #OmniTRAX and Sonoran Valley Rail. The milestone event marked more than the start of a new facility.

As part of OmniTRAX’s network-wide Good Neighbor Program, #OmniTRAX and Brownsville & Rio Grande International Railway collaborated with the Port of Brownsville, TX to identify a broad collection of local nonprofit recipients that provide resources and services for the people of #Brownsville.

For more than three decades, Machinist Brad Conrad has brought skill, and consistency to the Juniata Locomotive Shop working across the wheel shop, overhaul line, engine line, and maintenance in the past 11 years dedicated to the truck shop.

Earlier this year, former BNSF Railway executive Colby Tanner was named Co-CEO. Tanner assumes full company leadership effective January 1, 2026. We are grateful that Dean will continue to support OmniTRAX in his board assignment. “I’m extremely proud of what the team has accomplished. Over the past five years, OmniTRAX, Inc. has grown nearly 60% while attracting $5 billion of new companies to the rail network. The strategic additions of new railroads, ports, industrial parks, and partners position OmniTRAX well for sustained growth,” said OmniTRAX CEO Dean Piacente. “Our board has been invaluable to our continued network growth, and I’m excited to build on that momentum and provide Colby and the team with the resources to thrive.” During Piacente’s tenure, the company set records in safety, service, and achieved an operational efficiency best among peers while rivaling Class I performance. Jim began his railroading career with the Great Western Railway of Colorado (GWR), where he served as a Engineer, and Trainmaster. He later continued his journey at Panhandle Northern Railroad.

#NorfolkSouthern snooper inspection team evaluates nearly 9,000 bridges across our network.🚂🦺

When it comes to keeping trains moving safely across NS 22-state network bridges play a critical role and so does Dennis Pence.

Dennis is part of the snooper inspection team that evaluates 8,960 bridges.🛤️

As part of our #GoodNeighborProgram, the Central Texas & Colorado River Railway made several contributions to organizations serving the heart of Central Texas last week.

This year’s donations support the Central Texas Food Bank, the Dove Project, and the Richland Springs Preservation Society.

This past weekend, the Great Western Railway of Colorado (GWR) once again had the honor of delivering #Santa to Boardwalk Park—a tradition our team has proudly supported for more than a decade.
