I cannot express how much disdain I have for politicians who are helping to keep X relevant by continuing to post there like it hasn't turned into goddamn Truth Social.

But I don't know if Truth Social has ever created and distributed CSAM, so this may be an unfair comparison.

Dammit people, add alt text to your images! So many times I see awesome art or cool comics, but can't repost it, because it's not accessible.

One of the best of all time.

β€œYou’re not stuck in traffic. You ARE traffic.”

Wish we had come up with that one. #UrbanTruth

This could be many cities across the country. Artificially low taxes lead only to crumbling cities. And in Ontario, cities pick up the tab when the province drops the ball, as is the case with homelessness.

A March 1, 2026 Facebook post from N.S. Premier Tim Houston shows men in hard hats in what looks like an underground mine, and boasts about the Fraser Institute giving N.S. the largest score increase in β€œmining investment attractiveness” in Canada.

Premier Tim Houston was drowned out by boos at the African Nova Scotian gala last night, after he slashed crucial arts, education, minorities, heritage, environment & climate programs. But the right wing, corporate-funded Fraser Institute likes him & failing to read the room, he’s bragging about it.

No different in #cdnpoli. Our Charter rights are routinely debated and increasingly overridden by provincial govts. Rights are rights always. Once you start putting conditions on them to appease small groups of people for "reasons", rights just don't exists anymore. #abpoli

Can't fuckin' believe I'm doing this but here goes: Twitter is a mind prison, a true jail of career advancement. I stopped posting on there and within months I became the CEO of The Onion and I'm not kidding. Went back on last year, felt worse, then left again.

Just a reminder that a bar is a safe consumption site and alcohol caused 17,000 deaths in Canada in 2020. The Ford government closed down the supervised consumption site in my neighbourhood. No matter what the substance, regulated and observed is safer than illicit and alone.

Busy arterial street filled with congested cars

Bike-lanes don’t cause traffic congestion.

Car dependency, dumb land-use sprawl, too many (& bigger) cars being driven too much taking up too much space, highly subsidized driving costs, and not enough choices in how to get around, ALL cause traffic congestion.

Think about it. THAT’S common sense.

Wide protected bike-lane in Downtown Vancouver filled with people on bikes.

It’s really important that #Vancouver’s Downtown Business Association, who were originally against bike-lanes, are now among their most vigourous supporters, because of ACTUAL EVIDENCE that they’re better for downtown business than any street parking they replaced.

Safe bike-lanes mean business.

This is infuriating. Society doesn’t function on STEM & the trades alone. We need teachers, librarians, & writers. We need artists & entertainers. We even need lawyers and guess what they take at uni before law school? HUMANITIES!
