I think you’re missing my point actually. But because I love each and every soldier I’ve ever served I won’t say more.
I understand your point and I agree that I don’t like the content of what was shared.
I also think you’d be shocked at the reality of what soldiers actually share. this situation is ridiculous but we also have to acknowledge this isn’t a rare thing (to use signal or other apps).
Except our governor has taken from a $100M surplus to a $38M deficit in two years and is busy hosting a podcast instead worrying about his current job. So maybe he should keep getting called out.

I disagree, from what I’ve seen (admittedly second hand as a milspo) apps like these have been used by many soldiers for years before Signal it was WhatsApp.
It may not be authorized but if we want to get upset about its use we’re going to be very surprised at how common place it is.

Signal isn’t really the problem though (lots of military use it) it’s more not knowing that you added someone who shouldn’t be on the chat. If you got mad at every official who used signal, you’d be upset at a lot of people, probably more than you think
To be fair though it’s long been known that the government and military use Google workspace as their platform for years. Google has touted that an its own website. if they’re using CAC cards on a government issued laptop that’s pretty normal.
