What the Trump regime doesnβt want you to know about Dallas ICE shooting
The Trump regime's refusal to say the names of the Dallas ICE victims exposes the inhumanity of American fascism.
This is the secret the Trump regime tried so hard to keep about the Dallas ICE shooting

U.S. taxpayers have spent $24 billion on Netanyahu's horrific war in Gaza. Instead of starving children, that money could pay for:
700,000 public housing units
500,000 low-income kids receiving health care
500,000 veterans receiving VA care
600,000 kids in Head Start
Combined.

Warnock: A budget is not just a fiscal document. A budget is a moral document. Show me your budget and I'll show you who you think matters and who doesn't. And if this awful budget were an EKG, it would suggest that our nation has a heart problem and is in need of moral surgery

Tennesseeβs law expressly classifies on the basis of sex
and transgender status, so the Constitution and settled
precedent require the Court to subject it to intermediate
scrutiny. The majority contorts logic and precedent to say
otherwise, inexplicably declaring it must uphold Tennesseeβs categorical ban on lifesaving medical treatment so
long as ββany reasonably conceivable state of factsββ might
justify it. Ante, at 21. Thus, the majority subjects a law
that plainly discriminates on the basis of sex to mere rational-basis review. By retreating from meaningful judicial
review exactly where it matters most, the Court abandons
transgender children and their families to political whims.
In sadness, I dissent.
Justice Sotomayor's dissent in Skrmetti (which she's now reading from the bench) is deeply pained, accusing her colleagues of abandoning "transgender children and their families to political whims" and badly damaging "bedrock" principles of equal protection. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

When You Think Of The Budget, Think Of The Children
These children don't understand phrases like "means testing." All they know, is that in the week leading up to the food stamps...
The federal budget is our moneyβ not my money that was stolen from me and your money that was stolen from you, but OUR money, pooled from a bit of each of our incomes, so that we can fund the country we all share.
Where do you want your money to go?

It has been three weeks since Inauguration Day.
Most Americans recognize that newly elected leaders bring change. That is expected. But most Americans also expect that changes will take place in accordance with the rule of law and in an orderly manner that respects the lives of affected individuals and the work they have been asked to perform.
Instead, we see wide-scale affronts to the rule of law itself, such as attacks on constitutionally protected birthright citizenship, the dismantling of USAID and the attempts to criminalize those who support lawful programs to eliminate bias and enhance diversity.
We have seen attempts at wholesale dismantling of departments and entities created by Congress without seeking the required congressional approval to change the law. There are efforts to dismiss employees with little regard for the law and protections they merit, and social media announcements that disparage and appear to be motivated by a desire to inflame without any stated factual basis. This is chaotic. It may appeal to a few.
But it is wrong. And most Americans recognize it is wrong.
It is also contrary to the rule of law.
The American Bar Association supports the rule of law. That means holding governments, including our own, accountable under law. We stand for a legal process that is orderly and fair.
We have consistently urged the administrations of both parties to adhere to the rule of law. We stand in that familiar place again today. And we do not stand alone. Our courts stand for the rule of law as well.
Someone at the American Bar Association ate their Wheaties this morning.

The Logic of Destruction
And how to resist it
Sometimes self-government just means elections. And sometimes it means recognizing the deeper dignity and meaning of what it means to be a people. That means speaking up, standing out, and protesting. We can only be free together.

Friends,
Trump blaming last night's tragic crash on "DEI" isn't just racist nonsense.
Itβs part of his divide and conquer strategy.
He wants to get us so riled up against one another that we donβt look upward and see where all the power and wealth have gone.
