A light dusting of snow last night was a new and interesting experience for our Brush-tailed Bettongs, also called Woylies. A mini kangaroo once common right across southern Australia but now locally extinct.

Eastern Quolls at Conmurra!
We recently welcomed these #endangered animals with thanks to funding from WIRES through their National Grants Program. Thanks also to Aussie Ark, Dunkeld Pastoral and the Tasmanian #Quoll #Conservation Program that provided the animals for our breeding program.

A Woylie snacking on just one of the millions of Cicadas out this summer.
Woylies (Brush-tailed Bettongs) are a rabbit-sized type of kangaroo that is an omnivore and loves eating fingi, roots and grubs.
And yes, she has a baby in her pouch. 🦘
