The most important thing is to just be yourself, whatever that is. Life's too short to pretend or do something because someone else wants you to. We have a limited time on this planet and some may not make it to 80s, 90s. I don't want to regret it.

I used to be a huge people pleaser, go with the flow-er, do what everyone else wants to do-er. I did things because they would make my parents happy but I was miserable. I learned to stand up for myself and rewired my brain to get rid of the guilt. It still lingers...but it's easier to ignore it now

This was a huge part of my recovery from emotional abuse by my parents. I had to completely rebuild myself from the ground up, and start doing things for myself, not for my parents or anyone else. This took years, and I still catch myself going "what would my parents think?" to this day. It's hard.

I agree, I don't really think I knew what I was doing! I just looked at other babyfur artists' pieces really. Now there's lots of refs you can use!

I did a couple babyfur commissions and one of Lixa but they are realllyyyyy old and I'm embarrassed by them (the art quality, not the content lol)

Might delete this later but did you know I did a few (bad) babyfur pieces way back in 08? I drew this in response to some huge comment war on FA that I don't even remember the context about. Something about "babyfurs being sacred".
