You know me, I’m no exactly the kind of person to fall for this stuff, the only thing that gave me pause was that Chris often shares crowdfunding stuff.

Yeah so my instinct was correct, it wasn’t him, I reached out via FA. If you get any such emails from him bear in mind it is a scam. It seems obvious anyway but I’ve confirmed it.

I don’t know, it’s just so weird to me, sending an email is more deliberate than sending a DM on social media. It seems so strange to send such a request to someone you have zero interaction with. So I’m wondering if a hacker is sending mass emails from his account and I just happened to be one?

Not even a please, just a completely random email asking if I can do it and that he’ll refund me ASAP. It definitely came from his email address too. Wondering if he got hacked.

Did anyone else get a random email from christaphorac today asking them to buy Apple E-gift card for a friend's daughter who is diagnosed with lymphoma? I know the guy in passing, but have never spoken to him in all the time I’ve been in the fandom.

For grocery stores I agree, yeah, they seem to be just a smidge too tall. If you’re placing product that people are allowed to get without help, just make them a little shorter. I’m with you there. I’m not even that short and can’t reach those upper shelves (at Publix).

I don’t know, I just really respect that I guess. Wild animals are awesome. I know it’s all instinct and whatever but they are brave. I guess they have to be.

Most people don’t think about the damage small animals can do if they feel threatened. Even a small grackal can F you up. A little spider will have no hope of survival against you and it will still defend itself.

It’s kinda the same as how I adore squirrels, but I’ve seen the damage a pissed-off squirrel can do to a person, so unless I have reason to be comfortable, I keep a respectful distance.

Btw, I love raccoons, they are adorable. But I’ve heard too many rabies horror stories.

He did this first by doing a menacing cat-style walk toward me, then standing up like a human. This wasn’t a small raccoon. A gave a “raaah!” to feign bravery but promptly shut the door.

The other day, the Raccoon Brothers came by to try to steal the cat food, while Patchy* was in the box, so I promptly went out to scare them off. Both ran away; then one stopped, turned around, and decided to call my bluff and face me. That’s when I remembered that I’m terrified of raccoons. 🙃

LMAO. But I will say before CTS closed down back when I worked there, I saw people do so many reckless things, climbing up and *into* displays, ignoring posted signs, people will put themselves in danger then blame you (the employee) so I kinda see where the caution is coming from too.

(As a fellow short person I share the frustration, though!)

I think that would be too much of a liability… there’s a lot of warnings for employee use as it is when it comes to those things (like, rules on how to use safely). The places that do have them out (Home Depot, etc) have big warnings for costumers not to use, for that reason.

Hopefully today I can get one more blog post out. I want to resume my normal blog updates but don’t feel I can until I finish the NYC posts.

I also have like 4 commissions at 99% so I really need to push that out as well.

I’ll probably cut an additional opening on the side, like the cardboard box had.

I really thought they wouldn’t use the new shelter but eventually did go in. Seems like they were startled right out by our robot vacuum making noise by the front door though…

In spite of myself, I upgraded my little outdoor friend’s cardboard house to a plastic shelter with soft blankets. 😔 I cannot take them in, I have too many cats. But I am looking into TNR and any other care I can provide…

Ok, that’s kinda cool. We are supposed to have black bears in some parks here, but I’ve never see one. We have gators, iguanas, cats, ducks, sandhill cranes, the odd fox, a few cool raptors, but that’s all I’ve noticed. I should ask my sis in law what she’s seen, she is in your general area. 🤔

Really?? I thought they were all over the state. The are bad down here. You ever see gators?

Regardless of any stress, how can I ever regret this? My little lady that I was told was probably “too feral” at six months on the streets to ever accept human affection… oh, how I do love you.

Diligently working on commissions while staring in desperation at my $200+ RedBubble cart. It’s a big mountain to climb… steady progress but knowing I can’t take any new work to get the stuff for months sucks lol. I’m using the frustration to work faster and better, though.

Context: all iguanas in Florida are freezing and literally falling from trees. Other times they may eventually wake back up but it is really unusually cold right now.

Objectively, I know that it’s good for all of these iguanas to die. They are really bad for the local ecosystem. But I also love all animals and feel so sad for them.
