This game is a ton of fun so def check it out if your TTRPG group is looking to try something new. We ran a silly jojo-like stand game using it.

Dawn is very very good and Dawn + LionWing is a wild combo.

If you like big box full featured games where you build an OC with lots of powers, this should be priority one on your radar!

Fun fact for Canadian TTRPG creators: you don't need to pay $100 to get an ISBN like folks in the US.

Library and Archives Canada allows you to get free ISBNs for your projects. Takes around 4-6 weeks for your account to be created but then you are good to go.

I do feel a bit like she was talking about me when this talked about "games that let people turn their brain off" but less in a insulting way and more so that she tore out my still beating heart and expressed what I hate about my own designs on my worst days.

It helps that my recent non-tactical WIPs have leaned expressionist as a result of trying to create functioning social systems.

This is an amazing read for anyone who want to create games that mean things. Jay's work has always inspired me but until recently I haven't been able to understand why they felt so beyond what I could do in my own design, but this manifesto states it beautifully.
