I had drawn this pose after learning that NiGHTS was initially somewhat rude to Elliot in "Flying Through The Sky Without Wings." In my head I imagined NiGHTS laughing and teasing hesitant visitors lol

If you want to expand your color palette, or have experience in other mediums and want to try watercolor, I would suggest this palette. I'd argue this is also a good affordable beginner palette as well, the only downside is there's no individual refills. Paul Rubens does sell their own tubes tho

These paints are a joy to work with if you really crave convenience mixes with delicious pigmentation. If you're really good at putting paint to canvas/paper it might look like ink imo. when it's applied well it almost makes me think of alcohol ink.

I initially wanted to draw Satori Komeiji but freehanding in pen sometimes leads to different paths lol. I think I subconsciously projected her color palette onto the drawing with the pink hair and teal clothes.

i feel like my brain just, completely out of nowhere, decided that whenever i sketch i should consider the form of the object and hatch along with it. I've never done this until recently. im scared. where did you come from, o wise idea? shout out to the art wizard planting thoughts in my brain 🫶

Oh i forgot to say these were all referenced!! I've never drawn tf2 characters before lol. It was really interesting studying(?) them because it helped me break away from my Loomis brain. The mercs' faces are *pretty long* especially where the philtrum would be + their jaws are pretty prominent!

Thank you! I'm a firm believer that the way artists approach how to use their supplies matters more than the quality of said supplies. I know a lot of people believe this too but practicing this belief makes art feel more experimental and playful! :)

Also, yes, *everything* was done in that pen. My pen is so old that one side got white gel pen ink clogged so it makes fine scratchy lines. The pen is also DRY (the poor thing..) it's been with me since.....around 2014...The soft smudgy look is so neat though lol
