I just realized that the two fantasy-novels I'm working on, both deal with older characters who are dealing with growing older and the resulting aches.
Plus having lived a hard live that left its marks in the form of occasional pain from old injuries, or chronic pain and a disability from an injury.

Yeah, just a book. Let's try that line the next time they do a more inclusive casting, a female or black Doctor, or a black Cinderella or so. I've seen the comments on videos about the Sandman finale. Where the change is part of the actual plot. They just went with a black actor.

I like Margot Robbie, she did great as Hayley Quinn. I still haven't seen Barbie. But she's too old for the role of Catherine. Even an aged-up Catherine.

It works for kids but the harder you look at the world building the more you wonder how that society even functions. Where's the food coming from? Who produces all the things people use?

Plus the massive bullying (the twins! Snape!) and the lack of consent or basic safety in just about everything.

That's a good point. Why didn't HP end that way? Explains why it was so disappointing. Instead of being The Savior, Harry ends up being just another cog in a deeply flawed and oppressive system.

A lot of that information is probably property of the company the scientists worked for. They can't just take it elsewhere. Same with universities.

A lot of the big pharma companies (Pfizer, Moderna) are US based and they finance the research with additional funding by the government.

Me too. We actually now have an official role-playing club in the region who offer monthly games for people who want to try things out and who then try to help people to find a group.

It was also so odd. I was heavily into Fantasy, reading and writing. And knew lots of women who were the same. The community was pretty 50/50.

But gaming?

I tried a few times when I was in my twenties and usually was the only woman in the group and while some guys were nice, others... yeah. Not D&D specifically, but RPGs in general. The Dark Eye is/was more popular in Germany than D&D.

Might try again. Things sure have changed.
