In my opinion the art hierarchy goes: Museum art > normal art > street art > graffiti >>>>> tagging (wicked, immature behavior much like a dog urinating!!)

25.11.2024 17:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0βConnesuersβ are overstimulated and your work barely registers even if they go through the motions. βFellow artistsβ are likely too absorbed in their own work and search for recognition to legitimately care.
25.11.2024 17:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 099% of art βappreciationβ is socially motivated. The general publicβs opinion is worthless because theyβll be polite or delude themselves if a friendly person puts art in front of them.
25.11.2024 17:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Imo pain and suffering sucks ass especially when itβs associated with evolving as an artist. I hate it and wish it would go away. Iβm more into objectively beautiful things like a flower or rainbow for my art.

Charles Uter
By 2000 he had turned to the art of stencilling after realising how much less time it took to complete a work. He claims he changed to stencilling while hiding from the police under a rubbish lorry, when he noticed the stencilled serial number
...
So he was too risk-averse for tagging basically.
Banksy started as a freehand graffiti artist in 1990β1994] as one of Bristol's DryBreadZ Crew (DBZ), with two other artists known as Kato and Tes. Banksy began graffiting across Bristol, writing the words βBanxβ and βBanksyβ on bus stops, shops windows and phone booths all over the city.
25.11.2024 17:39 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0While harming nazis/police is a laudable goal, in my experience, the people who like to talk about it are too anxious and risk-averse to carry on a conversation with a stranger, much less do ~direct violent action~.
