A dome-shaped ceramic test tile coated in a dusting of Red Art clay fired to cone 6 resulting in a textural geologic surface. The Red Art sinters enough at cone 6 to hold together while retaining the rich Martian red color.

Finally working on a test tile mold for my casting slip. This will be the positive that the plaster is cast off of once bisque fired and soaped up with Murphy’s Oil Soap. Scraping firm leather hard clay into shape is so satisfying :)
