The top F1 drivers have drawers full of Rolexes because they get given them before they step on the podium for advertising. I shine having so many ยฃ30k watched you could just give them away.

Yeah I kind of don't want Starmer going anywhere atm. His lack of principles and beliefs means his evil actions aren't always full force. You'd think Streeting being more calculating and intentional would be a whole lot worse.

The good thing is at least it can change since members dictate policy. Polanski has said if enough members want it they will change policy.

Trent Alexander-Arnold: Weren't Real Madrid supposed to get battered? We have a winning mentality Trent Alexander-Arnold admitted Real Madrid used being the underdogs against Manchester City as motivation, declaring after their 3-0 win: werent we supposed to get battered?

Notice how there are no quotation marks around this statement? It's because Trent didn't actually say it. The real quote is further into the article, but the headline is a fabrication.

Shitty but unsurprising behaviour from Sky Sports.

Maya Forstater posting a selfie of her at Transmission

The gender crits just care about women's rights. That's why they spent their money and their Wednesday evening turning up to a trans solidarity concert, and then posted about it. Very normal!

So weird to be giving it the time of day. Like putting a spotlight on someone who gave you a dirty look fifteen years ago rather than the thirty people repeatedly stabbing you and everyone else right now.

Not a single day goes by that I'm not driven to the brink of howling madness by:

A: Videogames being at their most diverse, creative and overwhelmingly numerous as ever.

B: The gaming press being utterly gutted by vulture capitalists, leaving fewer people than ever to try and understand it all.

trans athletes were first allowed in the olympics in 2004.

the first 4 openly trans athletes to compete were in the 2021 tokyo summer olympics. only 2 are trans women. of these two, neither chelsea wolfe (bmx freestyle, eliminated) nor laurel hubbard (weightlifting +87kg, dnf) placed in the top 10.

I've tried absolutely everything I can but I can't get a stream to work smoothly. I have no idea what the problem is other than my computer just finally giving up after nearly ten years. Time to save up some money!

The scale doesn't cause us any confusion. We can travel across multiple European countries at large scale in hours because we have fantastic train networks. Drives you consider normal seem long to use because we'd never travel that far by that means of transportation, because we have a better option

"True Labour", as if the party wasn't funded on left wing principles. It's literally called the Labour party. For the workers. Unhinged behaviour.

I saw someone earlier in one of your replies saying the regs are terrible and will never be good if they need to lift and coast constantly, like the tech won't get better. We go through this with every new set of regs!

If I had a nickel for every time Franz Ferdinand was involved in the precursor events of a world war, Iโ€™d have two nickels, which isnโ€™t a lot, but itโ€™s weird it happened twice

"Every week".

Technically it's true, since they've complained in the one race weekend we've had.

There's always so much that can be explained by people simply wanting exactly what they saw in their formative years. It's the same with football. People want 2002 back, but go back and watch it and it was pants. Older people want 1990, or 1980 back.

Wes Streeting isnโ€™t doing this for the Reform vote heโ€™s doing it because heโ€™s a deeply revolting right-wing piece of shit and questions should be asked about the role of his religion in it if we want to be real

oh cool, we're at the "I have this knot of anxiety in my chest which I can't do anything about because it's entirely due to the overall geopolitical situation" stage again, nice, happy Monday everyone

I didn't watch the race but I read that quote in the Sky Sports write up and thought "that's the precise opposite of what that means".

What this match has made me realise is that, in the battle between evil and annoying as fuck, I'll actually root for evil.

I Wrexham's fanbase might genuinely be the only one more insufferable than Chelsea's.

It was in a section paying tribute to co-founder Andy O'Neil. He died before he could see Demon's Souls release, but at least he also wasn't around to see his studio be destroyed by corporate greed.

I just watched the noclip documentary on the making of the Demon's Souls remake. Seeing a little section on how Bluepoint started as two people, ascending to a studio that was capable of such great things, only for them to be acquired by Sony and unceremoniously shuttered, is soul destroying.

I found it funny seeing that I was the biggest buyer of Gregg's vegan sausage rolls in the small town where I work. That's likely not many people considering how many likely have Monzo, but it made me laugh. I didn't get much from it beyond that.
