My laptop died last week. And, unfortunately, I am unable to afford to replace it at this time. Luckily my manuscript is backed up but it was more than just my work computer, it was what kept me sane.

When people lie to him.
Having spent his late adolescence preparing to follow in his surrogate father's footsteps, and his training from before his amnesia, and the years dedicated to the sheriff's office and being a private eye, he has developed the ability to read and know when someone is lying.
Depends on the moment, he's been trained in firearms since he was a kid, how to hunt and track, mountain climbing, and is now learning magic.
Not my main character, but his girlfriend's favorite book is IT by Stephen King. There is a scene where Dameon is recovering and Mellissa is reading it while sitting by his bedside.
Dameon loves his girlfriend's homemade meatloaf. A recipe passed down through her mother, that goes back generations.
Dameon has a little coffee shop named The Golden Pot, where he likes to sit and "people watch." It's run by a quirky Irish fella named Quinn O’Shea.
Sounds like an interesting story, I look forward to reading it

MMC - Ashley Dameon Hayes, anytime he says or thinks the word "fuck", he crosses himself as an act of contrition.
FMC - Mellissa Renee Jorgenson, she oddly enjoys her work as a crime scene cleaner.
Dameon is a private eye, and used to work for his town's sheriff's office.
Not the MAIN character, but his girlfriend. She does taxidermy. The only thing she picked up from her father that she doesn't hate.
Dameon has a pair of steampunk styled, dark framed, and purple lensed sunglasses as his go to shades.
Dameon, a man of Irish descent, has a head full of vibrant, curly crimson hair that is accentuated by the sharp contrast of his penetrating emerald green eyes. He is often dressed in a dark collared shirt, layered with a grey button-down vest and black pressed slacks.

I can still find them every so often, saw them at the ren fair year before last. Djarum is probably the one that still tempts me the most to start smoking again.

At this point it’s been said in a hundred different ways, so I think people are being intentional about not getting it.
My main character witnessed his father being brutally murdered right in front of him. Has spent twenty years hunting the killer, and is now actively hunting him.

I really love the idea of mine, I was inspired for it by the Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan, but I want to explore multiple turnings of the "wheel."
The first series is now(ish), the second will be post apocalyptic, and then the third will be after the rebirth of the world.
