I love how the right keeps coming up with scandles involving USAID, then we find out that the numbers were for the US government as a whole, or globally. "USAID gave politico $80 million!". Nah, All agencies were spending money buying commercial subscriptions for information.

Without competition, every industry becomes a monopoly, which has no benefits over Communism. Capitalism works only if competition allows for supply/demand optimization, which only exists with high levels of relavent competition. We need to rethink the damage that stock market value causes.

A strong stock market now, means a less stable country in the future, because it means that capital is being used to pump up mega corporations with stock momentum, rather than investing in small to medium sized local and regional businesses that produce low cost commodities. This kills competition.

We want to blame billionaires for destroying the country, but we rarely blame the systems that create those billionaires. The stock market and expectation for compound interest on assets turned investing into a ponzi scheme that deprived the current generation of capital while creating an oligarchy.
