now let's see if we can get a Rule of Rose re-release and maybe a first ever stateside release of Lack of Love while we're at it

the obvious main appeal of Stray Children will be straight to moon and Undertale fans, but Love-De-Lic/Onion Games were and are an eclectic bunch. wonder what other kinda feelings will come around in it.

...you know, thinking on it more, making me imagine the kind of aura from Rule of Rose (which was done by the company Punchline, founded by Yoshiro Kimura, who'd found Onion Games, which made Stray Children) and the horror associated with youth and how that feeling from RoR could play here.

the yomawari games kick ass, btw. jump scares can be cheap but the jump scares in yomawari are top fucking notch. great art direction too.

a guy shows up at your house, telling you pretty much jack shit, telling him to follow him around in the dead of night in the city to an empty subway station, really does get that "you're a little kid who has no idea what's going on or what's around you" vibes of yomawari.

gonna have to get deep into Stray Children while the moment's hot and focus is there but man it's funny to me that the opening to the game gives big vibes to me not of even moon: Remix RPG adventure, but instead, the yomawari horror game series.

it doesn't last long, but it sticks out to me.
