I will always be grateful for a childhood (and now adulthood) where it was expected that I play outside all day. Whether it was riding waves for several hours or wandering through estuaries amongst the mangroves ~ I am fortunate many years later to be able to go for a swim or paddle amongst them.
Earlier this year, during a two-week retreat I guided around Aotearoa New Zealand, we were fortunate to meet the tiny and rare Hector’s dolphins — twice. They’re among the smallest and most endangered dolphins in the world. My hope is that encounters like this — quietly change something inside us.
Happy Birthday Lisa! Enjoy!
