Soap made with tallow and plant oils and coloured with turmeric and calendula infused oils. #naturalsoap
A variety of handmade soap in natural colours except the brown has a bit of red clay and loofah. #handmadesoaps
I love making soap, there’s so much variety and creativity involved. Practical, useful consumables, and perfect for gift giving. This year I made them with 50% tallow and 50%plant oils..it’s so much cheaper! #coldprocesssoaps #handmadesoaps

I make soap too, a huge batch once a year, enough to supply the family. New recipe this year includes tallow; it makes the soap hard and lasts longer. I add essential oils too, here is Basil/Lemongrass, and behind is Eucalyptus /Lavender. #coldprocesssoap #soapmaking

I need a bit of colour today, and am keen to start dyeing these locks for more fibre play on my new drumcarder. Fleece is Corriedale x Border Leicester and there’s a bit of English Leicester too. #handyeing #fiberprep

I used to be really strict on myself to achieve a machine like consistency when spinning yarn, and I can do that. But lately I’m all for handspun that looks a little sloppy, more thick n thin. It knits and weaves up so nicely. I guess having skills that can produce both at will is 👌👌#handspun
14.09.2025 02:55 — 👍 28 🔁 0 💬 3 📌 0Exactly! It’s just plain weave; the yarn did all the work😍

But those Leicester breeds make a durable yarn. 3 plied and still soft enough to knit a next to skin garment. #handspinner #handspunyarn #fiberprep
